Brillante 279

Semi-transparent molten glass mosaic tesserae, enriched with sparkling enamels and aventurina stone. The mixing of two glass colors allows us to achieve the classic veining effect on the surface.
Aventurina is an artificial stone produced by the fusion, at approx. 1200° C, of silica sand, copper and color components.
From the seventeenth century this process, previously unknown in its whole, allows glass maker sto create new effects in color, producing an adventure in design or "aventurina".

· Format size 3/4 "x 3/4" or
   3/8" x 3/8".
· Thickness ~ 5/32".
· Weaving, flared and chamfered
   tesserae are available in sheets
   of 12 7/16" x 12 7/16".
· Joint ~ 2/48".

Tiles are pre-mounted on TREND PLUS, or with a plastic film on top, depending on the assembly method in each country.

Variations in color between the tesserae is a peculiarity of the product, which make the surface agreeably lively and irregular.
The translucent effect of the Brillante mosaic makes it particularly suitable for sophisticated applications, where brightness and transparency have key roles, especially when enhanced by special lighting effects.


Brilliante mosaics can be laid on the floor or vertically on interior and exterior surfaces. Tiles can be used in contact with water, for applications such as shower trays or swimming pools. Due to the size of the tesserae (3/4" x 3/4" or 3/8" x 3/8") and the frequency of joints (~ 2/48"), the mosaic surface is inherently slip-resistant.
The waterproof characteristics of this mosaic does not preclude waterproofing of the foundation substrate for swimming pools and similar applications.
