TREND Group Announces the Passing of Dr. Pino Bisazza, Founder and Visionary Leader

With profound sadness, TREND Group announces the passing of Dr. Pino Bisazza, our visionary founder. His creativity, leadership, and passion not only shaped TREND Group but also left a lasting impact on the worlds of industrial business, art, and design. Dr. Bisazza’s professional legacy will continue to live on through his groundbreaking ideas and iconic creations.

Pino Bisazza (Trissino 17/10/1936 – Vicenza 15/01/2025) was a prominent Italian entrepreneur in Italy. He graduated in Economics and Business Administration and began his career in the 1960s with the family business, BISAZZA, located in Montecchio Maggiore, Vicenza, specializing in the production of glass mosaics. He became CEO of the company from 1975 to 2000. In late January 2000, he founded the TREND Group and assumed the role of President, marking the beginning of a new era in the mosaic and artistic surfaces industry.

TREND Group stands out as a leader in the production of colored glass, Venetian Smalti, gold leaf glass mosaic, and agglomerates made of glass, quartz, and granite. Thanks to the vision and experience of its founder, the company quickly established itself as a dynamic and innovative company, capable of blending advanced technology, creativity, and respect for artistic tradition. Creativity and innovation are also combined with environmental responsibility through the Eco-philosophy, an ethical approach to business in which TREND has committed to reducing the impact of its activities and developing products that recycle glass from separate waste collection.

In 2003, under Pino Bisazza’s leadership, TREND Group acquired the historic Orsoni furnace, established in 1888 and renowned for its production of glass enamels and gold-leaf mosaics. This acquisition symbolized a union of tradition and innovation, enabling Orsoni to continue shining on the international artistic stage.

Pino Bisazza had a deep passion for art, which he passed on within his company, making it a benchmark for design and quality.

He held numerous prestigious positions: President of the Young Entrepreneurs of the Province of Vicenza (1967-1970), President of the Small Industry, President of Confindustria Vicenza (1995-1999), and a member of the Executive Board of Confindustria Vicenza until 2001.

Additionally, he led “Gazzettino” as Vice President from 1985 to 2001 and was the founder of the research center “Fondazione Nord-Est,” serving as President until 2002. In 2007, he was awarded by Ernst & Young as one of the best entrepreneurs of the year.
