Description
The Materdei metro station in Naples was designed by Alessandro Mendini and inaugurated in 2003 as part of an urban redevelopment project of the surrounding area. The renowned Italian architect chose to decorate the entrance to the station with a custom pattern in green TREND mosaic tiles. In 2012 The Daily Telegraph included it among the most beautiful metro stations in Europe.
