The Shape of Color: TREND Group Brings Made in Italy to the Screen
Craftsmanship, Research & Development, innovation and contemporary design: TREND Group takes part in “Visioni Made in Italy”.

When Color Becomes a Vision
Color is much more than an aesthetic quality. It is material, light, depth and emotion. It is a creative language capable of transforming spaces and opening new possibilities for expression.
For TREND Group, mosaic represents the meeting of traditional craftsmanship, Research & Development (R&D), innovation and contemporary design.
This vision inspired “The Shape of Color” (“La forma del colore”), a short film created in collaboration with Producer – Cinema d’Azienda, as part of “Visioni Made in Italy”, an initiative promoted by SIMEST in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The film explores not only what we create, but how we interpret color, materials and the value of Italian craftsmanship.
TREND Group at Visioni Made in Italy
TREND Group was selected among the Italian companies participating in “Visioni Made in Italy”, an initiative launched under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani as part of Italy’s Export Action Plan.
Held at the Teatro Sistina in Rome, the event brought together more than 100 Italian companies and featured approximately 60 documentary films celebrating the stories, expertise and visions that bring Made in Italy excellence to the world.

The ceremony was attended by institutional representatives, including Giovanni Gorno Tempini, Chairman of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, and Vittorio de Pedys, Chairman of SIMEST.
For TREND, this participation recognizes an approach that combines design culture, creativity, manufacturing expertise and innovation.
The Shape of Color: Where Heritage Meets Innovation
“The Shape of Color” takes viewers on a visual journey through the world of mosaic, exploring it not simply as a decorative surface, but as a living material that interacts with architecture, light and emotion.
The hands of artisans, the transformation of glass and countless chromatic variations become central elements of a story celebrating the people and expertise behind every creation.
The film also explores the dialogue between two complementary identities: Orsoni, with its historic Venetian furnace and tradition of smalti and gold-leaf mosaics, and TREND, with its commitment to Research & Development, material innovation and new applications of mosaic in contemporary design.
A meeting of artisanal heritage and a vision for the future.

Mosaic as a Language of Contemporary Design
Today, mosaic offers architects and designers creative possibilities that extend far beyond decoration.
Color, texture, reflections and composition become tools for shaping residential interiors, hospitality environments and architectural projects.
Through continued investment in R&D, TREND explores new solutions, materials and applications, aiming not simply to respond to market demands, but to help define new directions in design.
Mosaic is not simply a product. It is a medium for creative expression.

An Italian Story to Share with the World
The documentary films presented at “Visioni Made in Italy” will continue their journey through a permanent digital platform, the international network of Italian Embassies and Cultural Institutes, and broadcasts on a national television network.
For TREND Group, this is an opportunity to share a vision of Made in Italy built on creativity, tradition, innovation and the ambition to shape the future.
“The Shape of Color” will soon be available through our official channels, following an initial presentation dedicated to the people of TREND and Orsoni.
We thank SIMEST, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Producer – Cinema d’Azienda, and everyone at TREND and Orsoni who contributed to this project.
Because Made in Italy is more than a story to tell. It is a vision we continue to create.
